Haile Coffee

Our Farm

Sheka a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve

Situated in the highlands of the Sheka forests, our farm is located in Yeppo village of the town of Masha. These forests are home to a vast spectrum of distinct plant and animal life indigenous to the area. The Gahamay and Bosoko rivers that feed theNile create spectacular bounds for our grounds of 1500 hectares. This perfectly balanced ecosystem has created a place of symbiosis where rich soils andrainfall nurture extraordinary flora.

At an altitude of 1600-1800 metres above sea level and sheltered by the wide span/wings of soaring trees, our cherries have truly found a place to thrive.

Home to 300 higher Plants & 250 Animal Species

The Sheka biosphere reserve is home to 300 higher plants and 250 animal species, many of which are indigenous to Sheka.

To conserve this precious ecosystem, we take great care in the way we manage all the activities that take place on the farm.

Over 250 hectares of our coffee farm have been set aside for conservation purposes as a way to support and uphold the biodiversity of these forests.

Our Coffee

We work year round to plant, grow, harvest, and process specialty coffee with the best practices available and developing those practices each year.

Quality

Training and development is crucial to the perfection of our work. Selecting only the best cherries, processing in our own washing and drying stations and sorting to the best quality.

Process

Our natural coffee has a creamy body with ripe mango, and black tea notes. Then in our washed coffee experience a great cup of citric, clove, cinnamon and herbal notes.
